Forgive me, my country

we had to forget

bury our history

bury it with the dead

On this pantheon

lies the fight

the honor is gone

take it with our right

Perform the burial

we’ll conquer the streets

a hero in memorial

hear our weeps

six feet under

justice decays

who will remember

that historical day

released from chains

“democracy”, we cried

freedom from the reigns

liberty untied

yellow ribbons burned

passion turns to dust

the fight overturned

neglect what’s just

forgive me, dear victims

we had to forget

we lost to him

we lost your fight
